Dear Teachers:
We all need to embrace Digital Citizenship for the sake of our students' safety, social emotional wellness, and research skills. Cyberspace is a real environment and an important aspect of our students' community. Because our students have many curiosities, it is essential that every core teaching team has a plan of who can integrate the common core standards relating to digital citizenship. Forest Park Middle School suggests that it's the social studies teacher then the ELA teacher.
As students navigate their way through the digital world, it is our responsibility to provide them with the tools that will shape them into responsible digital citizens. Our roles as educators allow us the prime opportunity to help students learn and grow as they take advantage of the technology that is available to them.
